ONE MONTH Until We Say "I DO"
WOW…I can’t believe that I am here writing this…4 weeks to go until I walk down the aisle and say “I DO”! I am a little bit speechless and unsure of how to express my emotions, as there is a lot to feel, to say, to experience, to still do, and it is a whirlwind of EVERYTHING! But I am so excited for my family and favorite humans to come experience Charleston and celebrate with us. It has a lot of moving parts and I have to know that it will all come together, trust the process, and just soak up every second, because it is going to fly by. Can someone tell me where the pause button is??!?! Please and thank you…
With only 4 weeks to go, we have a pretty busy month that is filled with some last minute travel, friends coming in from out of town, and just tidying up the pieces before everyone arrives and the day happens. Am I stressed? YES…Am I trying to control things? YES…Am I trying to trust the process, stop controlling, stop worrying, and just live in the moment? YES! I think one of the best things that I could have done during this time was to start working with Cortney and invest in my health, because I am feeling so much better, energized, stronger, and happier. Health is wealth and investing in myself during wedding planning is 100% worth it.
Honestly, I think we are doing pretty well with our planning and staying the course, thanks to Amanda for always being on my ass and not letting me procrastinate. I am really good at waiting until the last minute to finalize things and thankfully Amanda does NOT let that happen. So let’s talk about those updates!
Updates On The Planning…
DRESS - Two more fitting to go and I’m REALLY NERVOUS about this…I think about it a lot!
HAIR & MAKEUP - All set up and ready to go! I’m really looking forward to spending a special morning with my Mom and sisters as we get ready. These few hours mean a lot to me and we did it for Caroline’s wedding as well, so I’m glad that we can do it together again as a family!
FOOD - Ready to go and I am so EXCITED about what we are serving! And since we ALL know how much Katie loves meat, there will be meat!
CAKE - Carrot Cake and Carrot Cake Muffins…OMG a dream come true and I hope there is so much for me to freeze and take home!
DJ - Ready to go!
PHOTOGRAPHER - Ready to go!
VENUE - The most beautiful outdoor setting that we could ask for and grateful for our friends who are letting us have it happen there. Now we just need the weather to cooperate!
RINGS - Just need to be picked up!
LICENSE - Still need to take care of and will do it next week!

After the wedding, I plan on doing #WeddingWednesday posts on Instagram, that will highlight our #DreamTeam that helped us put this all together. I didn’t realize how important it is to have a wedding planner and close friends to help you with the details and to keep you sane, when things don’t go as planned. Y’all know who you are and I LOVE you so much for that!
I am really excited to showcase our #DreamTeam, because everyone that we have connected with to make this happen has truly been amazing, professional, and easy to work with! And I truly love that I am supporting local people who I can call friends and that means so much to me. It’s all about community and supporting each other and I feel that we have done a really good job of this and that makes me happy!
Here we go…The countdown is officially on and it’s time to enjoy these 4 weeks…Live BIG…Let go of the RULES…Trust the process…Celebrate LOVE COMMUNITY, FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND US!!!
