10 Things I Can't Live Without Lately

I recently saw PaleOMG do a post about her favorite things that she can’t live without and it inspired me to start another new thing here in this space as it is a great way to share what I’m currently loving, plus it’s also a list that is constantly changing, so it keeps things interesting. Plus, isn’t it kind of fun and fascinating to peek into someone’s life and see what they’re obsessed with?!

BeeFree Gluten Free - The biggest and best clusters of granola I have ever had! I’m not lying, I have found some big ones in those bags and damn they are GOOD! I have been eating this stuff for a while and I will add it to smoothies, yogurt bowls, or just straight out of the bag. They’ve created a whole new look…They are coming to Costco this December…And they do a TON of work with autism research and provide jobs for people with autism!

Bloodline - This Netflix series is ADDICTIVE! But then again, what Netflix series isn’t?!?! My hairstylist recommended it a few weeks back and I can’t stop watching it. I have to contain myself to 1 episode a night, but on the weekends, I may go overboard. It’s about a family that owns a resort in Key West and the troubled son who comes back to create absolute chaos! It is just a non-stop shit show of a tangled web of lies, secrets, and the family trying to protect each other from all the issues that the son created. WATCH IT!

Salem Falls - My first Jodi Picoult book. I have avoided reading them for years, because I always heard rumors about how sad they were, so I completely avoided them. When my “other mother” gave this one to me, I figured I’d give it a go, since Cathy and I have similar taste in books. I loved it. I love the style of her writing. Yes it was emotional, sad, but also beautifully written and an easy read. I look forward to exploring more of her books now. Guess you can’t always judge a book by its cover? LOL!

Costco Mixed Nut Butter - Gosh darn I LOVE this stuff! I have stepped away from eating peanuts, because . I have also cut back on how much nut butter I consume, as it was a serious crutch for me during the thick of my eating disorder. Now I eat it only a couple of times a week, or when my body is craving it, and I feel so much better. I use it in smoothies, yogurt bowls, by the spoonful, or on a PB&J sandwich. I’m sure it would also be great for baking too!

PS - Why I stay away from peanuts: “peanuts are legumes and they are difficult to digest. They stick to plates and they stick to our insides. The issue is that they are highly susceptible to mold. Specifically— aflatoxin!” Lauren Gillan

Rise Bars - I have been a big fan of these bars for a while and always have them in the fridge to grab for a pre-workout snack. With only 3 - 5 ingredients, 15 - 20g of protein, no preservatives, peanut and soy free, no preservatives, non-GMO, they are really good for my GUT and WORKOUTS! Chocolatey Coconut is my favorite!

Salmon and Sweet Potato Rounds - This combo is DELISH! I share the recipe HERE! This combo is easy, healthy, and requires not much preparation which I love! You can always add a veggie on the side too. Grilled broccoli, mushrooms, or asparagus would pair perfectly with this!

Morning Walks with LUCY - Fall mornings on the beach have been pretty EPIC lately! I try to do one two hour walk with her per week as an active rest day and to make sure she gets a really good workout in, so she can sleep and rest for a couple of days. It’s my ideal way to meditate, to ground myself, to soak up the salty air, to be with Lucy, and to just be. She loves this time as much as I do, so it makes me really happy that we can do this together!

Lululemon Scuba Hoodie - It’s been a while since I bought a scuba hoodie, like years, so I wanted to treat myself to some new workout clothes. This one is like a crop top, which I kind of like, because it is just a little bit different, with all the same scuba features. You still get the thumb holes, the hoodie, and the comfort, but it shows a little bit of the tummy, which I work pretty damn hard for, so why not show it off. I also got it in pomegranate, because I’m all about bright colors. I have plenty of gray hoodies!

VICI Retail Therapy - I forgot how I got hooked into buying from here, but I’m hooked! I have bought some really cute stuff from here and some others that were no bueno, which happens. The prices are great…They always have discount codes and sales happening…And it is really easy to return stuff. The only negative thing is that there are no free returns, they only do refunds which drives me NUTS, because when I do return things, I always feel like I am trying to get rid of that balance. Overall thought, I really like shopping on this site and plan to do it more when I need that fix of retail therapy.

Ameo Life Mouthwash - So you know that feeling when you use Listerine and it feels like it is burning your mouth, almost every time?!?! Not fun and it doesn’t feel good, because it is full of chemicals…YIKES! This Silver Mint Mouthrinse is the exact opposite…It’s alcohol and chemical FREE, safe to swallow, silver infused, naturally cleanses the mouth, natural ingredients, and it tastes amazing! I LOVE all their products and there is such a difference when you start using products with no chemicals or artificial crap. Check it out…you won’t regret it!

**Don’t forget to use KATIE25 and get 25% off your entire order! You won’t regret it!!!**

This has been an awesome way to kick off November…All fun, positive, healthy, and good stuff that I hope you will look into! Happy NOVEMBER friends and let’s make it a good month!

xoxo
