I don’t know how this post came to life, but here we are and here I am. Maybe it was the big ass beaver full moon that sparked this, but I do know that this full moon disrupted my sleep, gave me wild headaches, a huge ZIT, and some crazy dreams that had me waking up thanking the lord they were NOT true.

Describe Myself in THREE Words - Passionate, Dedicated, and Stubborn!

What I LOVE About Myself - When I go ALL IN, I am ALL IN and this is for work, relationships, and obviously training! I am a fighter. I have a big heart. I always try to see the good in people. I can do really hard shit and when I recognize my strengths, I become unstoppable. That at 45 I have come so far in SO MANY aspects of my life and each day I realize that what I want, who I want to become, and what I deserve is all attainable, because I believe in myself and my purpose and my powers! The shift is happening and no matter how many times I hit those speed bumps, I am plowing forward. Adding to the list about what I love about myself - POWERFUL, STRONG, RESILIENT, BEAUTIFUL!

What I DISLIKE About Myself - Giving people too many chances! Not recognizing the red flags! Giving my energy to the wrong people and the wrong situations. Beating myself up for my mistakes. Repeating toxic cycles.

**The beauty of the things I dislike about myself are all things that I am currently working on. I have gotten better this year with a lot of them, but there is still work to be done. Each day I get stronger. Each day I recognize old toxic patterns. And each day I make steps in the right direction and that is what matters!

How I Practice Self-Care - As you know, self-care is a loaded word that could mean a lot of things. It’s kind of like the word “wellness”. But when I think of self-care, this involves a manicure/pedicure, a facial or massage, curling up on the couch with the pups and binging on a TV show, dressing up and going out to dinner with friends. Also, a healthy combo of deep, meaningful, heartfelt conversations with friends. I am blown away by the inspiring individuals I have met lately who are fearless in all aspects of their life. It’s WILD and absolutely beautiful!

Do I LOVE What I Do - Absolutely and I cannot remember the last time that I have said that! I am being challenge. I am learning. I am having fun. I feel supported. I have nothing to say about what I am currently doing and I am blessed for that. I am able to use all of my tools that I have accumulated over the years, so I guess things have come full circle.

Retail Therapy - I despise shopping in person! I do all of my shopping online. I also love to have multiple tabs open on my computer and each one has a cart filled with 2-3 items. It takes me forever to hit “checkout”, but once I do, it is all at once and typically before 6:00 AM. These days I am doing all of my shopping on Anthropologie, American Eagle, A&F, and Lululemon.

Grocery shopping makes me HAPPY! On my days off, I love walking around Bartlett’s Farms. In the off season it is one of my favorite things to do. The smells, the quiet, all the delicious food, and the friendly employees. It is so basic, yet it just makes me feel so GOOD! Grocery shopping in general is always on my to-do list when I am not working. I write up my list and I look forward to filling up my cart with all the foods, knowing that I will be making delicious, comforting, and nourishing meals for the week ahead. I take my time and enjoy casually strolling up and down the aisles.

Workout Of Choice - RUNNING - WHAT?!?! I never ever thought that I would consider running to now be my training of choice, but here I am, in the thick of it…running all the miles…part of a running group…running over 30 miles a week…having multiple pairs of running shoes stacked by the door…and my algorithm is now all ultra running crazy people. I am embracing it and enjoying it and going for it! I am still doing strength training and yoga now is more of a rec

BOOK NERD - I am a total book nerd! I love going to the library almost as much as I love going food shopping. I find so much peace looking for books, picking my books on hold at the library, and searching books on Pinterest (follow my board here…I finally had to create a board, so I could remember what I read. You don’t want to know how many times I have started a book and said to myself “damnit…I’ve read this!) I have been in a serious book rut for at least a couple of weeks and I am hoping that I get back into a good reading groove.

Other Random Tidbits - I LOVE quotes…I LOVE astrology…I can NEVER sleep the night before a Full Moon…I don’t like mashed potatoes, but LOVE french fries…The more FAT on a steak the happier I am…I sleep with ear plugs…I don’t watch TV in bed…The first time I had a matcha was a month ago and now it is one of my favorite morning treats.
