A DAY IN MY LIFE

HEY FRIENDS! It AGAIN has been a while since I have written in this space, but gosh darn, life just has a way of becoming super busy and I have to sometimes choose what is a top priority in my life and unfortunately, sometimes this space gets put on the back burner. I wish that wasn’t the case, but it just happens. And this blog post seems appropriate, because then you can kind of get a glimpse into why I do not have as much time to write as much as I would like to. TRUTH - I also do not want to force my posts, because if I have to force it, it doesn’t feel real to me. But when that inspiration comes and I feel the urge to write, I just do it. That inspiration came at 6:00 AM on Thursday morning and it is when I finally was ready to finish this post and have it go LIVE.

SO...With that being said...

What exactly does a typical day look like for a Social Media Specialist, Fitness and Lifestyle Influencer? It is non-stop, a little kookie, a little messy, very unpredictable, but I LOVE what I do and I LOVE the clients that I represent, and the lifestyle that my profession allows me to live. I do get asked a lot, what is it that I REALLY do and I think I can save that for another post, because it is a mouthful. Let’s just start with what a day to day schedule looks like for me on a Typical Tuesday!

5:15 - 5:30 AM - I wake up and start brewing that first cup of coffee. It is definitely still dark out, but I like this quiet time in the morning. It is peaceful and I will usually light a candle, and do some tidying up in the kitchen, while I wait for my coffee. Shannon is still sleeping and Lucy usually comes over by my desk and snores away, but, of course, is ALWAYS by my side.

5:30 AM - 7:00 AM - I start working. I check and respond to all emails on each one of my accounts. I check and respond to all social media platforms. I LOVE this time to work, because no one else is awake and no one can respond to me, so I leave for my workout with a clean slate. B O O M!

7:15 AM - 10:15 AM - I leave for downtown to head to The Works! I sweat it out for a double session and it is AMAZING! It is my favorite way to start my morning.I leave it ALL on that mat and get my strength, cardio, and stretch workouts in and I feel like a rock star! It is intense and a hot sweaty mess, but my head and heart are clear and I am ready to tackle the day.

10:30 AM - 4:00 PM - I come home, shower, and start working. Once, I sit down at my computer it is game on and I am focused and just get in the groove to doing it all. Emails, ordering, posting, engaging, scheduling, creating, inspiring, and just tackling as much as my brain can handle. I typically eat at my desk...I may even do some meal prep while working, so I get up and take a mental break...I might even do some random cleaning...take Lucy out for some fresh air. Sometimes, if I super focused and in the zone, I can just plow through these hours and get the job DONE.

4:00 PM - 4:30 PM - I need a BREAK! Depending on how my body is feeling, I will either walk Lucy for a quick 30-minute walk or I will run some errands. This is typically the time of day, I am running to the post office to return items I bought online...I’m notorious for always returning things! GAH!

4:30 - 7:00 PM - I am back and it is time to “try” and shut things down. I will check all my emails again and go through the whole routine that I do earlier in the day. I am typically trying to whip something up for dinner, which is never complicated or glamorous. I am honestly usually so DONE by the end of the day, that dinners at home are so easy and thrown into a bowl or plate. So while, the sweet potatoes are roasting, I will be working, doing some things around the condo, or scrolling.

7:30 PM - It is typically when I eat dinner and FINALLY feel like I have accomplished everything on my list of stuff to do. I am done with the computer, but I will spend at least 1 more hour working for my clients on their accounts and mine, but by 9:00 PM that is it...DONE DONE AND DONE! It is time to read, or watch my shows, unwind, and try to fall asleep.

My job is non-stop and I am always scrolling, liking, responding, posting, and trying to make sure I am representing my clients and myself the best way possible. It can be stressful and hard, but at the end of the day I truly love every second of it and grateful that I am able to do this day in and day out.

With that being said, Saturday I am FULLY disconnecting for the weekend! I may pop in here and there and share some IG stories, but it’s going to be a busy weekend and I want to be present with the ones I love and enjoy the moments that don’t revolve around social media.

Have a beautiful Easter weekend and see y’all soon! xoxo
